ITINERARY

Our experience begins at 8:00 a.m. with a pickup from your hotel and a journey to the village of Arín, where we will meet Omar La Rosa. He will introduce us to the ancestral tradition of working with bamboo and guide us through the creation of “El Abuelo,” a traditional wind instrument handcrafted from bamboo.

The main focus of the experience is the hands-on elaboration of the instrument. Step by step, we will learn how to select, prepare, and transform bamboo into a musical instrument, while discovering the traditional techniques, craftsmanship, history, and cultural significance behind “El Abuelo.”

After lunch, we will take a short hike to the Arín waterfalls, connecting with the nature. Them we will then return to continue and complete the final details of our instrument.

Finally, we will play “El Abuelo” and experience the sound of the instrument we have created with our own hands. The experience concludes as a journey of craftsmanship, ancestral knowledge, nature, and music.
