ITINERARY
Today, you will be picked up and transferred from Cusco airport to your hotel. Upon arrival, we will welcome you with a special introduction to the tour, which will include a warm welcome circle. Our goal is for you to feel comfortable and excited to explore the rich culture and stunning landscapes of Cusco.
After picking you up at your hotel at 8:00 a.m., we will head to the majestic archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, which features an impressive set of terraces, ceremonial centers, and fountains that whisper stories of ancient civilizations.
Next, we will continue to Moray, an agricultural experimentation center with concentric terraces that helped understand temperature variations for crops. Then, we will stop at the Maras salt mines, an important production center with over 3,000 salt pools filled daily with filtered water from the earth.
After lunch, we will visit the archaeological center of Chinchero, which has beautiful and well-preserved Inca altars, followed by a tour of the Textile Center, where local weavers will teach us the ancient art of Andean textiles.
The day begins with pickup at your hotel at 9:00 a.m., followed by a trip to the district of Chinchero, where we will start the hike to the waterfalls. We will take a historic route used by the Incas that is part of the famous โInca Trail,โ allowing us to enjoy its beautiful landscapes.
Upon reaching the PocPoc Waterfalls, you will have time to relax, enjoy a snack, take photos, and participate in a cleansing and initiation with local flowers and medicinal plants. Then we will continue to Urquillos, where private transport will take you to Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch.
Finally, we will continue our journey to the Ollantaytambo station to catch our train to Aguas Calientes.
After a delicious breakfast, we will take a bus to the majestic Citadel of Machu Picchu, known as โThe Crystal Condor.โ After a 25-minute journey, we will present our tickets and passports.
Our guide will take us to the best viewpoints during a tour of approximately 2 hours, highlighting the spiritual significance of the site for the Incas.
Afterward, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where a private bus will take us to our hotel.
If you wish to hike to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu, remember to book your tickets in advance.
At 7:00 a.m., we will pick you up at your hotel and depart from Cusco to the province of Paruro, passing through towns like Yaurisque.
Our first stop will be the archaeological complex of Puma Orqo, where we will learn about the legend of the origins of Inca culture. Then we will explore the caves of Tamputoqocaca, whose name means “place of dawn or origin.”
We will continue with a 5-kilometer (3-mile) hike to Maukallaqta, an archaeological site with over 200 buildings. There we will see ceremonial fountains and other sacred buildings. Here we will also have the opportunity to make an offering to Pachamama.
Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco.
Today we have the honor of celebrating our first Wachuma ceremony at the Hummingbird Sanctuary, located in the Sacred Valley.
This event represents a unique opportunity to connect deeply with the spirituality and ancestral wisdom offered by Wachuma medicine, a sacred plant that has been used for generations in healing and self-discovery ceremonies.
The Hummingbird Sanctuary, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, becomes the perfect setting for this transformative experience. Through the ceremony, we will seek to open our hearts and minds, allowing the energy of the place and the medicine of Wachuma to guide us on an inner journey of reflection and personal growth.
This incredible adventure will begin early, leaving Cusco in private transport towards the community of Pacchanta.
But first, we will stop at Piquillacta, an ancient archaeological site in Cusco, founded by the Wari culture in the 6th century A.D. With its urban planning and impressive structures, it is a key example of Wari influence in the Andean region.
We will then continue to the village of Pacchanta, where we will enjoy a nutritious lunch. The rest of the afternoon will be free for you to relax in the hot springs.
Today at 9:00 a.m., after a delicious breakfast, we will begin our journey to the 7 lagoons through the Andes. Along the way, we will enjoy breathtaking views of immense glaciers, including the imposing Ausangate.
We will start with an uphill hike to the first lagoon of the circuit known as Comercocha, a name that comes from the Quechua language and means ‘green lake.’ Continuing our journey, we will pass by other lagoons: Patacocha, Azulcocha, Otorongococha, among others.
After this approximately 15 km hike, we will return to the community of Pacchanta for lunch and, of course, if you wish, continue enjoying the hot springs.
Today, after a nutritious breakfast, we will leave the village of Pacchanta at 9:00 a.m. and head to the archaeological center of Tipรณn.
Tipรณn was a great sanctuary where water was revered with the care and devotion that the Incas had for this vital element. It is considered one of the 16 most important archaeological sites in the area for visitors.
Finally, we will return to Cusco and enjoy a farewell dinner.
Our private transport service will safely and comfortably take you from your hotel to the airport at the agreed time.
